DIE GROSSE is the major art exhibition and art fair in NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia) held in Düsseldorf. Numerous selected artists present themselves at the KUNSTAUSSTELLUNG Düsseldorf and showcase their works. Participants must undergo a selection process, after which a jury decides on their admission to the exhibition. Performative arts such as film, video, and performance art are intended to complement the traditional, more static genres such as painting, graphic arts, photography, sculptures, and objects, as well as spatial installations. Various special exhibitions supplement the GROSSE KUNSTAUSSTELLUNG NRW Düsseldorf. Every year, the exhibition honors selected artists with the “Kunstpreis der Künstler” award and a “Förderpreis” (sponsorship award). DIE GROSSE Kunstausstellung NRW Düsseldorf provides a platform for both young and renowned artists to exchange ideas, as well as for art enthusiasts and buyers. All exhibited artworks can be purchased directly at the exhibition without gallery participation.
